• Asia is rapidly becoming the central focus of global development in the new millennium. In search of fulfillment of aspirations of billions of people, this powerhouse, with the colossal amount of natural and human resources at its disposal, will play an important role in the world arena. Small countires like Nepal however face enormous challenges to keep pace with the rapid changes in this and other parts of the world. There are, nonetheless, fresh opportunities that need to be identified and grabbed for perpetual survival and progress. To help find them out will be the prime mission of this center.  
   
• To fulfill its mission, the center will undertake in-depth study, research and analysis of events and situations and engage in informed discussions on public policies. It will offer its opinions and comments on subjects of public interests in order to help the people get better understanding of the issues and assist the decision makers to have better options in their decisions.
   
• The primary objective of the center is to keep the people informed of important developments in political, economic, social, cultural, environmental and technological fields and their strategic relevance to public welfare. It will also engage in the critical issues like effective diplomacy, defense, national and regional security in order to strengthen democracy, peace  and progress in the Asian countries.
   
• The center will render advisory and consulting services to independent and governmental agencies in critical areas like development strategies, public policies, scientific and technological advancements, and social-cultural promotion.
   
• The center will organize conferences and talk programs, publish position papers, periodicals, newsletters, bulletins and issue press releases to facilitate continuing dialogues for finding simple and enduring solutions to complex issues and emerging new problems.
